This is a fun hour exploring where your ideas can take you, using
improvisation and other tools to help spark your imagination.
Belfast-born songwriter, soprano, multi-instrumentalist and vocal
educator Suzanne Savage is delighted to join the Drogheda
Songwriting Festival to facilitate the hour-long songwriting
workshop, “Thinking Outside the Box”
As a songwriter, we can bring everything into a song. It doesn’t
have to be written for, or on, one instrument - or any - it doesn’t
have to have words..and it doesn’t even have to make sense..
(Tutti Frutti, anyone?!) Inspiration can sometimes come from trying
a new, or alternative approach.
Suzanne has over twenty years of professional vocal experience,
from live stage to studio as both session singer, professional
chorister and soloist, alongside a career as a singing teacher and
coach with students of all ages and abilities. She has written and
co-written several albums, including the German Record Critic
Prize nominated 2016 album “Sleepwalking” with cellist/arranger
Hugo Smit (for their string quartet and voice project The Savage
Five).
